Whether you’re a department or student org, getting a group of new students or org members engaged can be difficult. One can only do so many icebreakers! A fun way to get people engaged and involved is to hold a shirt design contest!
Here are 4 tips to help!
#1: Pick a theme and set clear and easy to follow instructions.
Choose a theme or subject that fits the spirit of your group then set the rules.
Some examples:
Set a specific runtime for your contest - this creates a sense of urgency and excitement for participants and allows the organizers enough time to plan and execute printing the shirts after the contest is over.
If you’re on a budget, you may want to limit to the number of colors participants can use in their designs. The same goes for the size of the design, a number of print locations and colors. Stick to 1-2 colors and 1 print location. This will bring out your participant's creativity too!
#2: Pick a prize
From bragging rights for the rest of the year to a bookstore gift card, pick a prize that fits your budget and will get your group excited!
#3: Pick a winner and submit your design for printing
The results are in and a winner has been crowned! Now it’s time to get your group their new shirts. With fast turnaround times and a great selection of budget-friendly apparel, CollegeWear can help!
